When you’re riding your bike through the city you’ll see…

Some of the things I love most about riding my bike are right here…

Gary over at My Wheels Are Turning featured Thoughts On My Bike by filmmaker Andrea Dorfman today.

MyWhAT is one of my favorite blogs, blending hard core thinking about transportation decisions with broader musings about how we get from here to there.

You should not ride your bike through the city unless you stick to the sidewalks. No roads for you anymore please.

What a coincidence Dan, I’m tired of my tax dollars being spent to move your stupid car around, breathing your stench and having my friends die in the desert so you can fill up your tank.

  3. Dan says:

Farlane, your tax dollars don’t pay to move my car around. You don’t seem to have a good understanding of economics. Do you not own a motorized vehicle of any sort? You somehow think people fighting in the desert is tied to gasoline? I would love the opportunity to educate you Farlane. It seems as though the system has failed you.

  4. farlane says:

I understand economics very well. As to war, what do you think we’re doing fighting in the Middle East?

I am struck by your feeling of entitlement. Does society owe you roads for cars alone?

Roads are for TRANSPORTATION and have always been. They have been used far longer for non-motorized traffic. I’d be happy to get my bike off the road and do so wherever there’s a trail but I have a right to use the road.
